MPs and MLAs in Ludhiana

A member of Parliament, commonly known as MP for short, is a person who is elected to be the representative of the constituency members in a parliament called Sansad which has two houses – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Whilst MPs are elected by the voters in each state and union territory of the country, MLAs are obliquely elected by the legislatures of the state. The political party which locks three- fourth of the seats in the Lok Sabha forms the Central Government of the country. If it is not so, the parties can also form a coalition government with representatives from other political parties as well.
